FUTURE OF WORK

The Syngenta Group Future of Work project looked at how we could best position ourselves for future success. As well as looking at our ways of working, our culture, and our working environment, we maximized our use of digital solutions to best serve the needs of our customers and colleagues.

Here in Montevideo, we want people to do their best work, so we adopted a hybrid work model,  providing everyone with the flexibility to manage their working schedule and make their work-life balance a reality.

Well-being of employees is very important to us, Syngenta Montevideo offers  nutritional consultations, webinars & awareness campaigns on mental health, stress management, mindfulness and more. There are even office massages available onsite.

Your Learning and Development

People at our Montevideo site are deeply curious. There are plenty of ongoing learning opportunities with our online learning platform, workshops, upskilling trainings, mentoring programs as well as access to the Global Finance Capability campaigns.

Our Talent Booster program offers mobility across different functions within the center, whilst leveraging internal talent, the program provides employees with opportunities to develop skills and knowledge, whilst being able to return to their previous position after the experience.

Your place to connect

We have a strong collaboration culture at Syngenta Group, both within our organization and beyond. We believe in staying connected, and have a strong focus on activities onsite.

The Uruguay Engagement group is all about developing and implementing initiatives that promote a positive work environment whilst fostering collaboration and social integration among our team members in Uruguay, organizing events and celebrations onsite.

Our Internal Engagement team focuses on internal initiatives that align with our company's mission and values, helping us stay connected to the business. This includes town halls, the Business Connection Program, Employee Engagement Surveys, and getting certified as a Great Place to Work.

The External Engagement team is all about engaging with our local community through charitable partnerships and sponsorships, like Laptop Raffles and Fundación Canguro & Hogar La Campana.

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

Embracing Diversity, Equity and Inclusion makes Syngenta Group a better workplace where people can be the best version of themselves.

In Montevideo there are three key Employee Resource Groups focusing on:

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion – promoting the integration and inclusion of diverse cultures and nationalities so that people feel like they belong. The workplace belongs to all of us.

Gender - supporting Syngenta Group’s commitment to women’s empowerment principals, while implementing initiatives to support women’s professional development.

Disability – Ensure that the working environment is adapted and accessible to people with reduced mobility – enabling employees to bring their whole selves to work to better focus on their jobs, advance their careers and contribute to the company’s success.

We promote an inclusive culture that accepts differences in all their forms. Here at Syngenta Group, we believe that the feeling of belonging allows people to be the best version of themselves.
